Course Terms and Conditions – (Face-to-face, Blended, Virtual and Self-directed)
1. Confidentiality:
By completing your registration, you agree to maintain confidentiality regarding the performance of other participants and the technical details of the simulation scenarios used during the course. This confidentiality is a vital part of ensuring psychological safety for all participants.
While you are encouraged to discuss problem-solving approaches and lessons learned, sharing specific details of the scenarios could compromise the experience for future groups, as the effectiveness of the simulations depends in part on the element of surprise. Your commitment to confidentiality helps protect this and fosters a safe learning environment for everyone.
2. Confirmation and Payment:
Full payment is required within 48 hours of confirmation of your registration. Failure to make payment within the timeframe will result in forfeiture of your reserved spot.
3. Cancellation Policy:
All cancellations must be made in writing to CSDS-Courses@health.qld.gov.au.
Full Refund: Cancellations must be received 60 days or more prior to the scheduled workshop.
50% Refund: Cancellations received between 30 and 60 days before the scheduled workshop.
Transfer: Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled workshop are not eligible for a refund. However, participants may transfer their registration to an alternate workshop date, subject to availability. Transfers are limited to one occurrence and must be used within 12 months of the original workshop date. A $50 rebooking fee will apply to all transfers.
No refund: No refund will be provided for cancellations within 7 days of the scheduled workshop or for no-shows.
CSDS reserves the right to cancel planned courses at short notice. A full refund or the option to transfer will be offered to participants.
4. Health and Safety:
Participants must not attend any course at CSDS if they are feeling unwell or displaying cold/flu-like symptoms. CSDS reserves the right to ask participants to leave the workshop if they exhibit symptoms that may affect the health and safety of others.
If participants are unable to attend a course due to illness, they must provide a valid medical certificate to be eligible for a full refund. Failure to provide a medical certificate will result in a transfer to a future course being offered, subject to availability, but no refund will be issued.
5. Media Release Authority:
During your participation in our face-to-face courses, CSDS may take still photographs and make video recordings for educational, research, administrative, marketing, or promotional purposes within the healthcare professional community. By completing registration, you grant CSDS the right to use these recordings for the stated purposes. You will not be specifically identified by name unless you provide explicit approval.
Please note that participants are not permitted to take photographs or make video recordings during the course without prior written consent from CSDS. Additionally, participants will be required to sign a media release authority document.
