Some staff will remember that I used to work at CSDS. I joined CSDS’s research team while finishing up my PhD in 2018. My PhD project was in the healthcare context, but working at CSDS allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the healthcare system and allowed me to develop relationships with several organisations across Queensland Health. One of the projects that I was leading at CSDS sparked an idea for a larger program of research. So, in 2020, I joined Griffith University to pursue a research fellowship, with CSDS being one of my key industry partners. I have since collaborated with the CSDS research team on several other projects and hope that our collaboration continues well into the future!

I have always been drawn to the science behind human behaviours and its practical application. With a background in psychology and human resources management, I embarked on my career journey as a human capital consultant working across multiple industries (e.g., healthcare, education, mining). During the initial year of my master’s program, I shifted to work on policy evaluation in healthcare. Engaging in those projects sparked my interest in developing interventions aimed at enhancing patient safety and quality of care at the hospital and health service levels. Motivated by this newfound passion, I joined the Research Team at CSDS. Here, I have learnt about the significance of Human Factors in clinical settings, and I am working on projects that carry immense value for our community. The Research Team is highly supportive, knowledgeable, and collaborative. With their support, I am able to explore new areas of interest and unlock my full potential.

I love dogs, and cats of course! My mum and dad have a German Shepherd – Wiley, and my brother has two cats – Nini and Facai. I don’t see them often, but I love them very much!
