The Paediatric Basic Life Support (PBLS) course will cover the principles of Basic Life Support (BLS) and will outline the structured approach that is required in the provision of BLS in the paediatric context.
PBLS is emergency care that aims to maintain or re-establish the airway, breathing, and circulation in seriously ill or injured children and infants. This short course will cover the principles of BLS and will outline the structured approach that is required in the provision of BLS in the paediatric context.
This course is delivered as a blended course utilising both eLearning and face-to-face practical components. Completion of eLearning prior to attending the course workshop is mandatory. The workshop focuses on the application and assessment of BLS skills in a simulated paediatric environment.
This course is aimed at medical, nursing, and allied health staff as well as those without a healthcare background.
