CSDS recently supported the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) with their Rural Preparedness Program. The program provides valuable training and education to doctors who are preparing to work in rural and remote health facilities across Queensland. The participating doctors will provide an essential resource for the health needs of these communities.
The two-day workshop was comprised of challenging immersive education scenarios and technical skills stations. The workshop allowed the doctors to practice in a safe environment. Topics covered included trauma, neonatal management, airway management, vascular access, maternity, and paediatric care.
Dr Anna Singleton, Director of Clinical Training for RBWH Medical Services said, “A massive thank you to CSDS for supporting the RBWH Rural Preparedness Program. The two days ran exceptionally well and we received amazing feedback from our junior doctors.”
CSDS is looking forward to build on this excellent workshop and supporting the doctors in the future.
