Healthcare Simulation Week 2025: United Through Simulation

When you think back on simulation, it’s rarely the equipment that stands out – it’s the people. The colleague who stayed calm in a mock emergency. The educator who guided you through a tough debrief. The moment a team found their rhythm, and everything just clicked.

Those moments are the reason Healthcare Simulation Week exists. With this year’s theme, United Through Simulation, CSDS joins the global simulation community in recognising the educators, clinicians, faculty, and partners who use simulation every day to make healthcare safer, more effective, and more connected.

CSDS is proud to be part of this global movement, creating safe and supportive environments where healthcare workers can practise, reflect, and build confidence to prepare for the challenges they face each day.

This week is also a chance to reflect on the breadth of simulation happening across Queensland. CSDS works with statewide networks in trauma, maternity, and retrieval services, as well as hospitals and health services across regional, rural, and remote communities. Together, we ensure training is practical, relevant, and designed for the realities of healthcare.

Although we are not hosting specific events this year, we take this opportunity to acknowledge our faculty, educators, pocket centres, partners, and participants who bring simulation to life year-round.

Your work is what keeps simulation meaningful and what unites us with colleagues around the world in striving for safer, better care.
