Last Friday, 17 October, was World Trauma Day – a day dedicated to raising awareness about trauma prevention, management and response.
To mark the occasion, the Queensland Trauma Education (QTE) team joined forces with the RBWH Trauma Service, Prevent Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma In Youth (P.A.R.T.Y.), Jamieson Trauma Institute (JTI) and Teamwork and Collaborative Training (TACT) teams to engage with staff, patients and visitors at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) through interactive simulations and displays.
The day sparked great discussions and interest, highlighting how education and collaboration are essential to improving trauma outcomes, from prevention in the community to clinical care in hospitals.

At CSDS, we’re proud to contribute to this mission through Queensland Trauma Education (QTE), a statewide initiative dedicated to building trauma capability across Queensland. QTE delivers multidisciplinary trauma education and resources tailored to the needs of clinicians working in rural, regional, and metropolitan settings.
