CSDS is seeking passionate and skilled Obstetricians and GP Obstetricians to join our Queensland Maternity Education (QME) team delivering maternity emergency education at our centre in Herston.
Our vision is to ensure Queensland is a safe place for pregnant, birthing, and postpartum women by providing accessible, evidence-based, interprofessional education and training for maternity care providers.

By joining us, you’ll help provide clinicians the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, skills, and interprofessional teamwork through staged learning, skills stations, case-based discussions, and immersive simulations covering a diverse range of maternity emergency scenarios.

The commitment
To become faculty, you’ll complete a Faculty Training Pathway which typically includes:
- Attending a course as a participant
- Completing Train the Trainer (TTT)
- Shadowing experienced faculty
- Completing Technical Simulation Training and Fundamentals of Debriefing (if not already experienced)
- Facilitating at least two courses annually to maintain currency
